Scott McCleary is a principal of Meyner and Landis LLP and has been practicing law since 1987.  Scott has in-depth experience providing legal services to large corporations and financial institutions, closely held businesses, entrepreneurs and other business owners.  Scott provides counsel with respect to:

* the formation of new business entities, including nonprofit entities
* business contracts and agreements of most kinds
* sales and acquisitions of businesses
* business finance
* corporate governance
* business collections
* business disputes, including complex arbitrations, jury trials and appeals

He also represents real estate developers, including not-for-profit developers, in the creation of affordable housing and commercial enterprise in urban environments.  Scott has a long list of Community Development Accomplishments  in which Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits and other government subsidies and grants have been awarded. Hundreds of families have been provided affordable housing where it previously did not exist, supported by newly constructed daycare centers, senior facilities, health care facilities, office centers and retail establishments, some in places previously considered to be among New Jersey's harshest urban environments.

Scott is immediately accessible and responsive to his clients.  Regardless of whether a matter is transactional in nature or involves litigation, Scott works with his clients to provide practical and cost-effective solutions, always having the client's budgetary restrictions in mind.

His accomplishments have resulted in the firm's recurring designation as one of the Go-To Law Firms of the World's Leading Businesses. Firms are selected as Go-To Law Firms based on a national survey of General Counsel of Fortune 500 companies, as well as on in-depth research and analysis of various public filings and resources, according to publisher Incisive Media.  Based on the opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary, Scott has received a Martindale-Hubbell rating of "AV Preeminent, " its highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
